Drinks Yard is a family-run business specialising in ‘alcohol delivery straight to your front door’. In need of a new consumer-facing identity and a website that packed a punch, the growing business approached Disruptor Media to bring its exciting new concept to life.
We created a brand and a website that was vibrant and eye-catching, while making sure visitors could easily navigate their way to their desired tipples. Add quality social media content and community management into the mix, and the brand’s online presence was well and truly established.
Before the rebrand, the drinks retailer sold directly to the hospitality sector with minimal consumer-friendly branding or online presence. ‘Drinks Yard’ was born out of the business’s desire to modernise its brand and broaden its scope from B2B to include B2C. As well as an impactful new name, the resulting identity featured an appealing, contemporary colour palette and engaging tone of voice, with everything clearly laid out with world-class brand guidelines.
Using the Shopify web template as our canvas, we integrated a variety of e-commerce features to deliver a user-friendly site with a clean and fresh design.
Icons to promote key USPs, a testimonial section, and seasonal digital banners to advertise timely promotions, gave site visitors an easy introduction to Drinks Yard as a brand. Detailed drinks categories, covering the likes of Style, Country and Grape, were added to help drink lovers navigate their way around the site.
Launching a new e-commerce brand comes with its own challenges on social media – and building trust is essential. We’ve created social content that not only looks great, with a bespoke grid plan for Instagram, but it’s also underpinned with a clear organic social strategy to ensure we capture any upcoming events. It was important for us to integrate human elements into the content, by using a mix of seasonal and food & drink content.
Using organic social alongside community management alone, we have acquired more than 500 followers across Instagram and Twitter to complement their existing following on Facebook.
We also worked with the retailer by tapping into their existing customer base and generating reviews for their new Trustpilot page, which were utilised as website and social content.
